夹板门，普通夹板门以木材、多孔板、高密度板等作门芯，门的两面平整部分用装饰面板粘压在框上，凹槽部分用木皮或纸皮粘贴，经加工而成。这种门质量轻、价格低，但受工艺所限，表面色差较大，门四周只能贴木皮、纸皮或钉上木条封边。

夹板门简洁光滑，合乎清洁卫生要求，惟胶合板视胶的质量而定，通常受潮易脱胶，日晒易起裂，不宜用外门。如果是做混水效果的夹板门，可以直接用三夹板贴面，但现在的三夹板质量都不太好，所以现在多用红榉或红胡桃代替，一来这两种饰面板价格便宜，比三夹板贵不了多少，二来饰面板的平整度要比夹板好多了，油漆施工也容易。
